Delicious food good variety of choices ; non rushed, attentive service. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Kensington - and I have lived nearby for 35 years. Went to lunch with a friend. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The plates and silverware are beautiful which add to the fun. I loved the salmon cakes made from fresh wild salmon. I loved the bread pudding even more: it was the best I've ever had and I've had a lot in my lifetime. It's also fun to visit this street filled with flowers and antique shops.

A wonderful way to spend a weekend afternoon. I have been coming to this restaurant with family and friends since it opened. It really is a lovely place, located in the midst of Kensington's Antique's Row. Whether I have been there for lunch or for dinner, I have never had a bad meal. K Town wonderfully complements Kensington's antique row. We thoroughly appreciated it from start to finish.

Service was professional in every respect, but not stuffy. Recommendations were on point. And the food was fabulous. They did not disappoint. My wife isn't an oyster fan and she loved them.

Her short ribs were exceptional, and my scallops equally delicious. This is an outstanding restaurant, a huge add to this part of Montgomery County. So my wife goes on TripAdvisor and finds this "neighborhood gem". We drive from son's condo without a reservation on a Sunday evening at about or so. This is a storefront restaurant, and when we arrived we were promptly seated, maybe 3 other tables occupied out of 12 didn't count. This was the first time we dined here. My wife and I both like the food.

Chicken and shrimp pasta was creamy and delicious. Pork shank was cooked well done and sides were very good. I will come back. I live in Kensington and a lunch date with a friend was my first visit to the K Town Bistro. The food was excellent and nicely presented. Nice ambience in their quaint space on Antique Row. This is a small unassuming, unpretentious restaurant with excellent food, excellent service. Everything we ordered was really good. I had spinach soup and the blackened salmon and my husband had a huge rib eye steak.

Neither of us could finish the large portions. But he found room for the delicious sweet apple crisp a la mode. This is one restaurant where you don't have to shout to have a conversation! We loved it and well be coming back.

Our first impression was not good because the Maitre D seemed arrogant and seated us at a table for 3 near the kitchen. However, things got better after that, starting with fresh warm bread served with soft butter.

K Town Bistro

The diverse standard menu was augmented by a half dozen daily specials. Perhaps the best item we had was the Roasted Tomato Soup of the Day. Rich and creamy with tomatoes, carrots and mushrooms, it was great for a cold winter's evening.

The Beet Salad with feta and crispy parsnip was interesting and tasty, but I would have liked some dressing tossed into the salad or served on the side.

The Crispy Oysters were served on an avocado sauce with a generous salad garnish on the side, but the deep frying batter seemed to overwhelm the oystery taste. The Beef Stroganoff over Linguini had plenty of chunks of tasty beef and we enjoyed it with a wonderfully full-bodied and complex Argentinian Cabernet.

For dessert, the creme brulee, garnished with 3 blueberries, was outstanding - creamy but and tasty but not too sweet. The food offered good value but the wine seemed expensive. Two big plusses for us were the quiet atmosphere that made it easy to talk, and the unhurried service. However, our female guest was offended that the server attended to male guests before attending to her. Ask for a table near the window rather than near the kitchen, unless you like to watch food service. Overall we found K-Town Bistro a very pleasant restaurant for a chat with friends over European-style food.

My wife and I visited this delightful French restaurant in Kensington Maryland. It is a small, intimate restaurant. The service was very attentive and efficient. We shared a Caesar salad and then I ordered a trout dish and my wife had Chicken Marsala. Both were perfectly prepared. We capped off the dinner with strawberry cheese cake which was delicious.

We were the only ones dining in on a Wednesday night, but the place was doing a nice amount of carry out orders. Don't usually The Stroganoff was divine- beef was tender, noodles cooked right, sauce superb, and it was not only a large portion but so hot I almost had to wait before diving in.
